BANQUETS
Our banquets are experimental and ceremonious food gatherings. They serve the purpose of being nourishing, they shape themselves around feminist texts that inspire us and are co-created amongst participants. This activity is a part of the resort internal program.
Braiding Sweetplates
2026
We started the year paying tribute to an extract of Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer. We toyed with this text for months and we let our real life necessities and circumstances weave themselves into our reflections - all culminating into a knowledge, tool & resource sharing Lab day.
Our Lab day consisted of coming together to workshop edible plate making, it was accompanied by a permaculture crash course with Victoria Desvaux as well as a practical and personal take on a permablitz; we exchanged plants, seeds, cuttings and spent time doing some collective gardening in Karen Pang’s backyard in Quatre Bornes.
The team was made up of AURÉLIE CALOU, ALIYA CHOJOO, GLENN ESPINOSA, ISABELLE CHOWREE, MATI JHURRY, MEHA DESAI, VICTORIA DESVAUX, KAREN PANG, KIM YIP TONG, NAOMI RAJOO, GLORIA VIVIEN & ANNABELLE AH CHONG, SARAH HONORÉ.
This research was supported by Kareron food research project, Moka 2026.
